The Basics

These terms are a contract between you and OptiPact. By using our service, you agree to them. We’ve tried to keep them fair and readable.

What OptiPact Does

OptiPact is an AI-powered tool that helps you analyse contracts, identify risks, compare clauses, and get suggestions for better terms. We provide the analysis — the decisions are always yours.

Your Account

Creating an Account

  • You need to provide accurate information when signing up.
  • Keep your password secure. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
  • One account per person, please. Don’t share login credentials.

Account Termination

  • You can close your account anytime by contacting us.
  • We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
  • If we terminate your account, we’ll explain why (unless legally prevented).

Your Data and Content

You Own Your Stuff

The contracts and documents you upload remain yours. We don’t claim any ownership over your content.

What You’re Allowing Us to Do

By uploading documents, you give us permission to:

  • Process and analyse them to provide the service.
  • Store them securely on your behalf.
  • Create anonymised, aggregated insights (never identifying you or your documents).

Your Responsibilities

  • Only upload documents you have the right to share.
  • Don’t upload anything illegal or harmful.
  • You’re responsible for the accuracy of information you provide.

How to Use OptiPact (and How Not To)

Acceptable Use

Use OptiPact for legitimate business purposes — analysing contracts, managing legal documents, improving your agreements.

Don’t Do These Things

  • Try to hack, reverse-engineer, or break the service.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or overload our systems.
  • Share your account with others or resell access.
  • Upload malware or malicious content.
  • Use the service for anything illegal.

Our AI and Its Limitations

What Our AI Does

Our AI analyses contracts and provides suggestions. It’s designed to help, not replace, human judgement.

Important Limitations

  • We’re not lawyers: OptiPact provides analysis tools, not legal advice. For legal decisions, consult a qualified solicitor.
  • AI isn’t perfect: Our analysis is a starting point, not the final word. Always review important documents yourself or with legal counsel.
  • No guarantees: We can’t guarantee our analysis will catch every risk or that our suggestions will be optimal for your situation.

Payment and Billing

Pricing

Current pricing is available on our website. Prices may change, but we’ll give you notice before any changes affect your subscription.

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you’re unhappy, talk to us.

Free Trials

If we offer a free trial, it converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.

Intellectual Property

Our Stuff

OptiPact’s software, design, and content are protected by intellectual property laws. You can use them to access the service, but you can’t copy, modify, or redistribute them.

Feedback

If you suggest improvements, we can use those ideas without owing you anything. We appreciate the input, though.

Liability and Warranties

What We Promise

We’ll do our best to keep OptiPact running smoothly, securely, and usefully.

What We Don’t Promise

  • The service will be available 100% of the time.
  • Our AI will never make mistakes.
  • The service will meet every specific need you have.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, OptiPact’s liability is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the past 12 months. We’re not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss.

This doesn’t affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we’ll notify you. Continuing to use the service after changes means you accept them.

General Bits

  • Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal.
  • Entire agreement: These terms (plus our Privacy Policy) are the whole agreement between us.
  • Severability: If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver: If we don’t enforce something immediately, it doesn’t mean we’ve waived our right to enforce it later.
